Electric cars and charging points
The number of electric vehicles on the road is increasing, and we’re working hard to make sure there are charging points across Horsham District.
Our electric charge point project with Connected Kerb
We're working with Connected Kerb, West Sussex County Council and District councils across the county on a new chargepoint network across West Sussex. It's the largest-ever local authority roll-out of electric vehicle charging points in the UK and was launched on Monday 20 June 2024.
The project is transforming EV provision locally, seeing manychargepoints installed on streets, council-owned car parks and on community facilities, which will help many drivers without off-street parking to go electric.

Find charge points in privately owned car parks and other places
Use Zap Map to find charging points in private car parks - for example, there are two in Horsham’s Waitrose and John Lewis Home car park - and outside Horsham District.
Install an electric charging point at home
The Government Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) is offering grant fund towards the cost of installing charging points at home or in the workplace.
