We offer one-day Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) periodic courses, from just £45!

Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is a certificate of professional competence designed to improve road safety and maintain high driving standards.

Open to all Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) drivers, our CPC courses are run by experienced, qualified professionals who can help both new and experienced drivers alike. By taking our course you will add seven hours towards your CPC.

By law, drivers of lorries, buses, coaches and other commercial vehicles must complete 35 hours of training every five years in order to maintain their C class licence and keep their CPC valid.

What does the course cover?

Our next course 'Steersafe & The Future' will cover:

• Vehicle Sympathy - Focuses on vehicle controls like warning lights, ventilation, exhaust brakes, and steering axles, covering how they work, how to use them effectively, and when to disable them. By the end, you'll gain a refreshed or new understanding of these systems and their operational needs.
• Load Security - Covers load security, legal requirements, securing methods, and vehicle selection. Reviews safety ratings for securing devices and ensuring  they are fit for purpose. By the end, you'll know how to secure loads safely and legally.
• ADAS - Explore ADAS, its growing integration in vehicles, different levels, current functions, and future developments. This module provides a comprehensive understanding of ADAS and its role in shaping the future of driving.
• Reversing - Evaluates reversing, subconscious risk assessment, safe techniques, and reverse assistants' responsibilities. By the end, you'll better understand the thought processes and techniques for reversing safely.
