Business rates

Please note that our telephone number has changed from Thursday 19th December 2024 to 01403 337800.

Business rates, or National Non-Domestic Rates, are the equivalent of Council Tax for non-domestic properties. They are a statutory tax levied by central government on those responsible for commercial property.

Horsham District Council is responsible for collecting business rates for the District.

Part of the money is used to fund services and amenities nationally. Some of the money kept by the Council is used to pay for local public services. Collection of commercial waste is not covered by business rates charges.
