As part of our carbon reduction work supporting projects that improve the physical environment we are offering local voluntary and community groups an opportunity to bid for funding for projects that share our vision of becoming a carbon neutral District.

We are delighted that several groups across the District have already successfully received funding for their carbon reduction and environment-focused projects for projects as diverse as energy reduction schemes, tree planting, wildlife surveys and the creation of an educational mobile Eco Station. Funding is available up to the value of £5,000 and applications are invited quarterly.

The first five successful community projects came from Horsham, Holbrook, Henfield and Steyning. Click on the links below to hear some of their views on receiving the fund.
