WEBINAR - Monday 23 September at 7pm
Did you know that most hair, foil, and aluminium colour tubes in the UK are going to landfill or incineration when they can be recycled? According to Green Salon Collective, more than 98% of UK salon metals are not recycled, but there are steps salons can take to be more sustainable.
Green Salon Collective, in collaboration with Horsham District Council and the Horsham Business Climate Hub, will be delivering an informal talk on Monday 23 September at 7pm to discuss the potential that the hairdressing industry holds in addressing environmental issues. There will also be a Q&A session to better understand shared issues.
Sign up to hear how your hairdressing business can become more sustainable and earn money in the process by recycling your specialised salon waste.

Green Salon Collective
Green Salon Collective are an organisation whose mission is to recycle and reuse hairdressing salon waste. They focus on extending the use of specialist items like hair and metal, to support hair salons to become more sustainable. For example, cut hair can be used to produce new materials including to clean up oil spills or to create hair mats that can be used to cover storm drains or clean up waterways. Whether composted, recycled, recovered, or used to generate energy for the national grid, Green Salon Collective seeks to divert your salon waste away from landfill and cut carbon.
Supporting your business to be Net Zero
The talk in September is delivered in collaboration with the Horsham Business Climate Hub, an exclusive virtual space hosted on the West Sussex Business Hub developed by Horsham District Council’s Sustainability and Economic Development Teams.
