Henfield's Great Big Green Week

Sustainable Henfield 2030 is working with local partners to offer a programme of environmentally themed events throughout the week. Activities include a guided walk, an inspirational film show, a talk about reducing your energy use and bills, and a cost-free, pollution-free bus trip.

Sussex Green Hub

United Reformed Church, Springfield Road, Horsham
With a focus this month on Food Waste, the Sussex Green Hub will help you to take small green steps to save money and the environment. Participants include: The Horsham Community Fridge distributing short-dated food items (10am - 11am); Transition Horsham offering advice on seed saving and preserving food; the Horsham Repair Café; a Refill Service for household products; Recycling advice; Carbon Clinic; Horsham Eco Churches; a collaborative sewing project - and more!

Horsham Bishopric eco stalls

Whilst in Horsham why not pop along to the Bishopric and visit Sussex Green Living's Inspiration Eco Station, Fairtrade Horsham plus the Good Life Horsham eco stall.

Youth Eco Forum Taster Event

Launched in June 2020, the Youth Eco Forum is a group of 14 – 18 year olds who meet using Zoom every other Sunday at 8pm. It is a safe and friendly place for local young environmentalists to gather, discuss and connect for an hour of planet-friendly chat and take action.

This is a FREE new member taster evening via Zoom for The Great Big Green Week aimed at 14-18 year olds. Meet existing members, learn about the group and have a little green fun.

'Recycling in West Sussex'

Small Dole Village Hall
The Small Dole Tuesday Club will host Colin Mcfarlin, volunteer Waste Prevention Advisor with West Sussex County Council. Feel free to bring along any items you aren't sure how to recycle.

Horsham Film Festival – Kiss the Ground  

Venue: Christs Hospital Theatre
Green Film Fest for Horsham is a month of environmentally-focused films and talks to challenge, educate and inspire us. It launches with a shorter 45-minute version of the documentary Kiss the Ground.

Narrated and featuring Woody Harrelson, Kiss the Ground is an inspiring and groundbreaking film that reveals the first viable solution to our climate crisis by regenerating the world’s soils, telling you that “the solution is right under our feet and it’s as old as dirt.”

An evening with the President of Sussex Wildlife Trust

Organised by Greening Cowfold

"2022 could be the coolest summer of the rest of our lives……what on earth can we do about it?’ – An evening with Mark Francis and Dr Tony Whitbread, President of Sussex Wildlife Trust.
