Saturday 8 October, 2-4pm
Beeding & Bramber Village Hall
With the recent hikes in the energy price cap, and with more to come, domestic energy bills are a real cause for concern for many. This Helpdesk from Greening Steyning, Bramber and Beeding takes place once a month at the same time and place as the Repair Café – 2pm-4pm on the second Saturday of each month.
The Home Energy Helpdesk will be offering practical assistance on how to save energy costs and trim your carbon footprints. There'll be a team of volunteers there to talk over your own situation, and what energy saving steps might be practical for you. The service is entirely free, though you might like to drop a small donation in Repair Café bucket as you leave.
Come along for:
- A friendly chat about how you can save energy at home
- Tips on how to cut your fuel bills
- Suggestions on where to start with draught-proofing, insulation, solar energy, heat pumps and more
- Info on what grants are available
NB: The Helpdesk team will be there to help, and provide useful pointers on where to go next. They’ll be offering information and suggestions rather than professional advice, so please note that they are enthusiastic amateurs rather than qualified and fully accredited professionals. However, most of the Homes & Energy team that run the Home Energy Helpdesk have prior knowledge of upgrading/retrofitting our homes to help save energy and to reduce our global footprint.
Book a slot at the 8th October Helpdesk
Or you can just turn up on the day and speak to one of our volunteers.
If you are unable to attend on the 8th October, the next helpdesk event will be on Saturday 12 November.
