Four more communities will now be introducing measures to help reduce carbon emissions, save energy and cut back on their energy bills thanks to their success in the recent round of Community Climate Fund applications.
They include:
2nd Horsham scout group: The fund enables them to replace old fluorescent strip lighting with new motion activated LED lighting units.
5th/10th Horsham Scouts: Focusing on the type of energy used as well as how much, this bid allows the installation of solar panels to generate electricity as well as batteries for on-site storage. They will also swap current lighting for LED lights which should reduce lighting costs by some 50%.
Chanctonbury Community Leisure Centre: The fund enables them to change their old fluorescent light fittings for new LEDs to save energy consumption and electricity costs.
Horsham Lawn Tennis Club: The fund enables them to change their HALIDE flood lights to a more efficient, low energy LED system.
