As part of our carbon reduction work we are offering local voluntary and community groups an opportunity to bid for funding for projects that share our vision of becoming a carbon neutral District.
We are delighted that fifteen groups across the District have already successfully received funding for their carbon reduction and environment-focused projects.
Projects that have received funding so far have included initiatives such as changing from high energy to low energy lighting, installing PV solar panels, tree planting, developing a drought resistant garden, wildlife surveys, installing an air source heat pump to replace a gas fired boiler, and many more.
Funding is available up to the value of £5,000 and applications are invited quarterly.
Find out who has successfully received funding so far and what their projects aim to achieve.
The next round of funding grant applications opens 3 January 2022 and closes 11 February.
