We are now trialling a new recycling collections for small electrical items, textiles and batteries, due to run until January 2022.

Small electricals and textiles

Residents can now book a free special collection of unwanted textiles and small broken electricals for recycling.

Over 800 tonnes of textiles and 130 tonnes of small electricals are thrown away in rubbish bins in the Horsham District every year. Booking a free collection of these items will save valuable resources from going to waste.

Batteries

A second new scheme we've recently launched is free battery recycling.

Batteries should be placed in a small, clear plastic bag (such as a sandwich bag or food bag) and the bag placed on top of either your green-top rubbish bin or blue-top recycling bin on the usual collection day. They should not be placed inside recycling or rubbish bins.
