Anti-Social Behaviour Case Review Activations 2024/25

Data published pursuant to Section 104(9) of the Anti-Social Behaviour,  Crime and Policing Act 2014

The Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 created a statutory duty for relevant bodies to undertake multi-agency review meetings in circumstances where a threshold has been met. This allows victims and communities to hold agencies to account if they believe that their complaints relating to anti-social behaviour have not been dealt with appropriately.

The agreed threshold within Sussex is three or more complaints of related anti-social behaviour or hate crime incidents within a six month period, starting from the date of the first complaint.

The law requires that the relevant bodies publish information detailing:

  • The number of applications for the ASB Case Review received;
  • The number of times that the threshold for review was not met;
  • The number of multi-agency review meetings carried out; and
  • The number of multi-agency review meetings carried out that resulted in recommendations being made.
