Open data and transparency

In support of the government's agenda of greater transparency and accountability , we have adopted the following principles:

1. We are committed to fostering a culture of openness and will, where practicable, make open to the public data that is collected or created to support its day-to-day business;
2. We will not release data where doing so would breach any laws (particularly those related to individual's privacy);
3. We will endeavour to make this data easy to access in a format that is machine readable using open standards and may be re-used in accordance with the terms of the specified licence (Open Government Licence, Non-commercial Government Licence, or Charged Licence).
