Position: Parish Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer
Part time: 15+ hours per week
Place of work: Home-based with evening attendance at Council and planning meetings (typically one evening per month)
Starting rate of pay: £18.00 - £25.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who is motivated and organised, with excellent administration, bookkeeping, IT and communication/social media skills to join our team. You will need to be proactive and helpful to support our Councillors and our residents and able to work independently from home.
Reporting to the Council you will be required to organise meetings, draft minutes, prepare documentation and follow up on actions. As Responsible Financial Officer you will manage the Council’s accounts and budget. You will also manage the Council’s website and liaise with many other organisations and groups, in this key role.
Access to a car and a valid driving licence is a requirement (a mileage allowance will be paid for Parish Council business). Applicants living local to the Parish (10-15 miles) would be preferred.
You will manage a Litter Warden and several volunteers.
Although an appropriate qualification would be strongly preferred, the Parish Council will support an applicant following appointment to study for the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CILCA) qualification. Previous experience in the local government sector would be an advantage.
