Guided Wellbeing Walks

Free, sociable, and family friendly, our guided walks are a great way to see more of the District, increase your activity and meet new people.

Our guided walks are split into two categories:

  • Level 1 walks are under 1.5 hours over easy terrain and aimed at beginners and those with long term health conditions
  • Level 2 and 3 walks are longer, more strenuous and may include hills and stiles. Some of these walks are organised with groups such as Steyning Downland Scheme and Storrington Conservation Society.

There’s no need to book, just turn up.

Dogs are welcome on some of our walks and these are clearly marked in the Wellbeing Walks programme. The walk leader may offer advice or request removal of the dog from the walk if it is causing a nuisance.

The Walk Leader may cancel the walk if they consider that the conditions are too hazardous. If you would like to be sure that the walk is going ahead, please telephone the relevant walk leader.

Other Guided Walks

The Horsham & Shipley Community Project offer a range of guided walks, cycle rides, petanque and other activities hoping to show that age is no barrier to fun, fitness and social interaction.
