Council flies the Red Ensign to mark national Merchant Navy Day

Horsham District Council showed its support for the national ‘Fly the Red Ensign for Merchant Navy Day’ campaign at its Park House building on Friday 3 September.

The campaign raises awareness of our island nation’s dependence on Merchant Navy seafarers - past, present and future.

Present at the raising of the Red Ensign flag were Horsham District Council Vice Chairman Cllr Kate Rowbottom, Armed Forces Champion Cllr Peter Burgess and Cllr Karen Burgess.
