Following our recent success at the regional finals of the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards we are thrilled to share that the Dawn Whamond, Technical Support Officer from Sussex Building Control has gone on to win the National Public Service Superstar Award.
The prestigious LABC Building Excellence Awards highlight the vital contribution public sector building control teams make as part of the project team, ensuring safe, sustainable, and high-quality construction projects. Judged by a panel of industry experts the national awards are made following a regional selection of the highest quality projects, professionals, and teams from around England and Wales.
Dawn has been in the construction industry for 22 years. Dawn really is the epitome of a public sector superstar. Balancing workload, IT, partners, and customer priorities whilst maintaining a strong eye for detail. Colleagues describe Dawn as the backbone of the business, dedicated, reliable and a champion for local authority building control; ensuring customers are at the heart of the service in practice.
