Don't miss your chance to have your say on climate action for Horsham District

Climate Action Strategy survey

There are only a few days left for people to have their say on Horsham District Council’s draft Climate Action Strategy.

The Council has developed the strategy to support the whole of Horsham District to become carbon neutral by 2050, which is a legal requirement. Local residents, businesses, community groups and key partners have been invited to give their views on it to help shape future climate action plans.

Response levels to the survey so far have been really good.

Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Climate Action and Nature Recovery Cllr Colette Blackburn commented:

Thank you to everyone who has completed our survey so far, we are delighted with the response and the insightful comments we have received. But we know there are many more of you out there who are yet to give us their views.

I encourage you all to take this opportunity to share your vision of what climate action within our District should look like, as well as sharing what you are already doing, and what you would like to do if the right support is available.

The draft strategy includes a 10-year action plan, not just for the Council, but for key partners and the wider community.

The survey closes on 31 August 2023. You can read both the draft strategy and complete the survey on our Climate Action Strategy webpage.

The survey will only take between 10 to15 minutes to complete. You do not need to have read the draft strategy before completing the survey.

Achieving carbon neutrality will be challenging, but will also bring many opportunities and benefits, such as improving our health, uniting communities, and creating new jobs.
