On Monday 21 August Storrington Neighbourhood Warden Chris Poore ran a Fun Day for local families.

Held at Chanctonbury Leisure Centre grounds, a variety of fun activities were on offer including a mobile climbing wall, a bouncy assault course, learning how to Rap, and fencing. Many parents took the opportunity to enjoy a picnic in the warm weather while youngsters were trying out the activities.

Chris commented:

It was a great day – the sun shone and around 200 families came along. It was good to see everyone having fun in a relaxed atmosphere. Next year the Fun Day will be on Monday 19 August, so keep the date free!

The event was supported by Horsham District Council, MADL (Make A Difference Locally), Sussex Police, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, The Rotary Club, Storrington & Sullington Parish Council, Vortex, Nic & Ben’s, Chanctonbury Leisure Centre, Audio Active and Tesco.
