From Friday 6 December, entrepreneurs, and business leaders from across Horsham District can access an exciting new series of business training workshops, 121 sessions and resources, as part of the Council’s Business Training Programme.

Designed to provide skills development and enhanced opportunities to share and learn from the latest best practice, the programme launch has been timed to mark the week of Small Business Saturday in celebration of Horsham District’s micro and small enterprises which make up 98.5% of local businesses.

The Business Training Programme covers a wide range of topics using a blend of online and in-person formats. Topics include business management essentials such as first aid, business growth strategies and finance, as well as marketing including social media, videography, product photography and web content management. Some workshops have a nominal cost to the ticket with the remainder being paid by the Council, on behalf of businesses.

Cllr Joanne Knowles, Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Economic Development & Property, said:

We are launching this new round of business training in celebration of Small Business Saturday, highlighting the vital role our small businesses play in our thriving local economy. Building on the success of the programme to date and great feedback from previous sessions, I am pleased we are collaborating with locally based business experts to offer more exciting opportunities for Horsham District entrepreneurs and business leaders to upskill.

One local business who attended a workshop in the last round of training commented:

It delivered everything that was promised and more!
