The class involves getting your heart rate up, strengthening your muscles and having fun!
The Council has worked in collaboration with local partners Chanctonbury Leisure Centre, Steyning Leisure Centre and Billingshurst Leisure Centre to help develop the availability of the new courses.
Commenting on the new courses, Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Housing, Communities and Wellbeing Cllr Sam Raby said:
“Maximising our Health and Wellbeing offering is one of the key aims in our Annual Plan for 2025 as we strive to better understand the needs of our whole community to deliver services that support people to live long, active lives.
“I am delighted that we have a new range of fitness courses available across a broader number of outlets, and the beauty is that they are absolutely free to qualifying participants.
“These courses are a great introduction to exercise to lots of people who may think that exercise is not for them and often act as a gateway into a wide range of other activities.
“From experience we have found these classes are a great way to meet new people and quite often become more about the socialising which is also good for mental health.
“Check these courses out and book to take part as soon as possible for January as spaces are limited.”
