By-election result for Colgate and Rusper Ward

At the Horsham District Council by-election held on Thursday 17 April 2025, Hannah Butler (Liberal Democrats) was duly elected as District Councillor for the Colgate & Rusper ward.

The results were as follows:

Josh Bounds (Conservative Party) – 406 votes

Hannah Butler (Liberal Democrats) – 453 votes

Andrew John Finnegan (Green Party) – 375 votes

Gerard Brendan Kavanagh (Labour Party) – 53 votes

Robert Charles Nye (Reform UK) - 206 votes

Total verified votes were 1493 out of an electorate of 5389. The overall turnout was 27.72%

The vacancy in this ward was as a result of the recent sad passing of Cllr Liz Kitchen.
