Partnership agreed to create a lasting memorial to local poet Shelley

At a Cabinet meeting on 23 November, councillors agreed to create a formal partnership with the Shelley Memorial Project Community Interest Company in order to enable the creation of a permanent memorial to Horsham’s most famous resident, Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.

Our Parks and Countryside team were joined by a group from the Aldingbourne Trust on Thursday 30 November, to create a hibernaculum. A hibernaculum is a structure providing shelter throughout the winter for amphibians and reptiles, such as frogs, toads, newts, lizards and snakes.
