Play areas

In early 2024 we carried out a consultation regarding improvements to Carpenters Meadow Play Area in Pulborough and have worked with those who were interested to design the final scheme.

We have selected a nature theme to fit in with the Pulborough Wild Art Trail. The equipment has been kept fairly low profile in order to preserve the view across the valley.

This play area is mainly geared towards primary aged children and there is a small scooter / small bike track at the lower end of the park for younger children to practice their skills in a safe space.

We are aware that the play area floods on occasions, so the play equipment has been placed above the regular flood line.
The bike track is within the flood zone, so this will be slightly seasonal.

The football wall will remain in place and the area will be completed with some new benches, new gates, paths and signage.

Installation will commence mid to late September and complete in October 2024, weather permitting.
