If your development is considered permitted development, you may still need to notify us of the proposals so that we can determine whether they require prior approval. This process is called prior notification.
Prior notification applies to the following proposals with permitted development.
Demolition
A prior notification application for demolition requires:

- Fee: Check the list of planning application fees and charges
- Evidence of Notice Given/Site notice
Larger home extension
A prior notification application for a larger home extension requires:
- Application form: Apply online using the Planning Portal online form
- Location plan
- Block plan
Telecoms
We have 56 days to let telecoms operators know whether prior approval is required for development including telephone masts and antennae.

- Elevations (existing and proposed)
- Floor/layout plans (existing and proposed)
- Supplementary information about telecommunications development
Agricultural/Forestry
In cases of agricultural development and on land used for forestry, a prior notification application requires:
